Recruitment of Junior Grade of Indian Information Service (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) Examination, 2012 – Declaration of Final result
Staff Selection Commission conducted a completive Examination on 22-7-2012 for recruitment to the post of Indian Information Service (Group ‘B’ Non-gazetted) at different centres across the country.
2. The result of 492 candidates qualified to be called for interview of this examination was declared on 24-9-2012. Now on the basis of the performance in Paper I & II and interview/personality test, 123 candidates have been finally qualified for appointment to the post of Junior Grade of Indian Information Service (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) against vacancies for different languages keeping in view their merit-cum-preference.
3. The above result is subject to outcome of O.A. No. 2458/2012 filed by Indian Information Service Association in Hon’ble CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi. 4. The verified data relating to educational qualifications vis-a-vis preferences of the candidates has been taken from the Regional Offices of the Commission.
5. Ministry of Information & Broadcasting had communicated category-wise distribution for the overall vacancies as following :--
SC ST OBC OH HH VH UR TOTA
Vacancies 19 9 36 2* 2* 1* 70 134 L
* Horizontal reservation and therefore not included in total. Further, language-wise reservation of vacancies was also communicated without category-wise distribution within vacancies reserved for each language. Candidates were therefore, allocated keeping in view the vacancies reserved for each language, overall category wise distribution of the total vacancies and category-wise eligible candidates available for selection in different languages. Accordingly, category-wise details of the 123 candidates qualified in the Select List for appointment are :-
