Subject: Allocation of candidates, nominated by Staff Selection Commission for appointment as Inspector Posts on the basis of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2015, to Postal Circles,

Out of 67 vacancies repofied to Staff Selection Commission, 66 candidates had been nominated by the SSC for appointment as Inspector Posts (pre-revised Pay Band: PB-2, Grade Pay: Rs.4200, Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800) on the basis of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2015. The Circle-wise and category-wise break up ofDR vacancies of Inspector Posts for the year 2015 may be seen at Annexurg-I.

66 candidates have been allocated to various Postal Circles of the Department of Posts keeping in view the following criteria as also their rank as well as availability ofthe vacancy befitting the category of UR/OBC/SC/ST and giving preference to women candidates over male candidates in the light of the fact that the Govemment is emphasizing to increase the representation of women in the Central Govemment:-


Allocation of Candidates: First a women candidate top in merit list in a category has been considered for allocation by applying all criteria applicable for women candidates and has been allocated to the Postal circle and thereafter next women'candidate has been allocated in the same manner. After allocation of all women candidates, a male candidate top in merit list has been considered for allocation by applying all criteria applicable for male candidates and has been allocated to the Postal circle and thereafter next male candidate has been allocated in the same manner and so on.
