STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION
The Staff Selection Commission conducted the written examination for recruitment to the post of Constable G.D in CAPF and Rifleman in Assam Rifle Examination, 2012 on 22.4.2012 at various centres scattered all over the country. A total number of 7,05,832 candidates appeared for the examination. In addition, re-examination was also held on 13.05.2012 at Venue No. Lucknow-10 & 11 along with the candidates of NCB.
2. Based on performance in the Written Examination, male candidates were shortlisted for Medical Examination, the result of which was declared on 08.06.2012. In continuation of that the Commission has decided to declare the result of female candidates who have been qualified for Medical Examination in the aforesaid examination.
3. As per the scheme of the Recruitment, the minimum cut off percentage marks in the written examination is normally 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates and 35% for UR and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
4. For preparation of Result, Category, Gender and State/Border and Naxal/Militancy Codes of candidates have been taken from Data sent by Regional Offices, as decided by the Commission.
5. There were 1,644 Female candidates who had invalid State Codes (Blank/Zero) and these candidates were included in data after taking their State Codes, as per Roll Numbers.
6. Vacancies have been reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs for all the CPOs for year 2012-13 and Backlog vacancies for the year 2011-12 in Assam Rifles. The Commission has accordingly released 04 lists of candidates for Detailed Medical Examination :--
